Pricing

Pricing you can
reconcile.

Payment costs have three layers. Two of them — interchange and scheme fees — are set by banks and card networks, not by your provider. We pass those through at cost and charge exactly one line on top. That's the whole model.

Anatomy of a card fee · illustrative proportions

Interchange — at cost Set by the cardholder's bank, varies by card type and region. Passed through with no rounding games.
Scheme fees — at cost Set by Visa, Mastercard and local networks. Passed through and itemised on every invoice.
Veloqen markup — one line The only layer we control, quoted for your mix upfront. No FX padding, no "service fees" appearing in month three.

The rules we hold ourselves to

Five promises about your invoice.

1 · Interchange++ by default

You see markup, scheme fees and interchange separately on every transaction. When interchange drops — because of local routing or better data — the saving is yours, visibly.

2 · One markup line

Our fee is a single, contract-stated line. Fraud screening, tokenization and reporting are part of the platform — not surprise add-ons priced per feature.

3 · No setup, no monthly minimums

No onboarding fee, no gateway rent, no per-seat dashboard pricing. If we're not processing for you, we're not charging you.

4 · FX at reference rate + stated spread

Conversions priced against a published reference rate with a spread you agreed to in writing. The spread never quietly widens.

5 · Every invoice reconciles

Invoice lines map to settlement reports map to ledger entries — to the cent. If your finance team finds an unexplained number, that's our bug, and we treat it like one.

Why we can promise this

Because we spent years on the merchant side of these invoices, reverse-engineering fee stacks from settlement files. We built the pricing model we always wanted to receive.

Interchange++ vs blended

Why the "simple rate" usually costs more.

Blended pricing

One flat percentage for everything. Easy to read — but the rate is set to cover the provider's worst case, so cheap transactions subsidise expensive ones and savings from cheaper cards disappear into the blend. You can't see what anything actually cost.

Interchange++ — our default

Real cost plus a fixed markup. European consumer debit costs what it costs; premium corporate cards cost what they cost. Your effective rate reflects your mix — and improves as we optimise routing and data quality for you.

Rates are quoted per merchant based on volume, mix and geography — request a quote with your last processing statement and we'll respond with a line-by-line comparison.

What we need for a quote

01

A recent invoice

One month's processing invoice or settlement report from your current provider. We decompose it into interchange, scheme and markup.

02

Your mix

Countries, payment methods, card types and cross-border share — the shape of your traffic drives most of the cost.

03

Volumes & ticket

Monthly volume and average ticket. With these three inputs we return a line-by-line comparison within days.

Pricing FAQ

The questions your CFO will ask.

What exactly is Interchange++?

Three separate lines on every transaction: interchange (set by the cardholder's bank), scheme fees (set by Visa, Mastercard and local networks) and our markup. The first two are passed through at cost; the third is fixed in your contract. When your mix gets cheaper, your bill gets cheaper — visibly. Full explainer in our guide.

Are there setup fees, monthly fees or minimums?

No setup fee, no gateway rent, no monthly minimums, no per-seat dashboard pricing. If we're not processing for you, we're not charging you.

How is FX priced?

Against a published reference rate plus a spread stated in your contract. The spread never quietly widens, and every conversion is itemised in reporting so your finance team can audit it.

What do chargebacks and refunds cost?

Scheme and acquirer dispute costs are passed through with a stated per-case fee — no punitive markup on top of a bad day. Dispute tooling and evidence automation are part of the platform, not an add-on.

Do rates improve with volume?

Yes — markup review at volume milestones is written into the contract, not left to an annual negotiation ambush. Routing and data improvements that lower interchange flow to you automatically.

Why is there no public rate card yet?

Because honest rates depend on your mix, geography and our sponsor-acquirer agreements — a single teaser number would be marketing, not pricing. We quote per merchant and publish standard tiers as the platform scales.
